What is it?Ultherapy is the only Health Canada cleared, non-invasive procedure that lifts and tightens the skin on the neck, chin, and brow, and improves lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.
How does it work?
Ultherapy is a new type of non-surgical, non-invasive skin lifting method that uses ultrasound and the body’s own natural healing process to lift, tighten and tone wobbly skin on your face.
It uses the harmless energy of ultrasound to stimulate the deep essential support layers of the skin including those typically addressed in a surgical facelift without distressing the surface of the skin.
During Ultherapy small waves of focused ultrasound energy penetrate the same skin layer usually addressed in a surgical facelift. Using ultrasound technology, Ultherapy works from the inside-out to lift and tighten skin non-invasively. Your body’s reaction to Ultherapy is to repair tired skin by stimulating the growth of additional, new collagen.

You may notice a short-term improvement right away but the natural course of generating new collagen forms over 2-3 months, with continued improvement for up to 6 months.
Results from Ultherapy are long-lasting. Most of our patient’s results have been shown to last for at least 2 years. Unfortunately, we cannot stop the ageing process. So, in order to maintain your results, 67 Degrees Cosmetic Clinic recommends annual maintenance treatment.
First, your skin will be numbed with a topical numbing cream. You will also be given oral pain medication and Pro-Nox (also called laughing gas), to minimize discomfort.
Then, an ultrasound conductive gel is applied to the skin. Your technician moves a handheld device across the skin’s surface, to transmit the ultrasound energy to the deeper skin layers. This energy enters your skin at precisely the right depth to jumpstart collagen production.
Your technician will adjust the treatment depth with different ultrasound transducers that attach to the handpiece in order to deliver the energy to specific layers of tissue—the superficial dermis, at 1.5 mm; the deep dermis, at 3 mm; and the SMAS/platysma muscles, at 4.5 mm.
We draw outlines of the treatment areas and then determine the amount of energy, or lines, to be delivered at specific depths in each area to ensure the treatment’s efficacy.
