Botox® Cosmetic
RICHMOND & DOWNTOWN
What is it?Neuromodulators such as Nuceiva and Botox contain Botulinum Toxin Type A which is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. The toxin reduces the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that causes muscle contractions. It is a safe and effective drug for cosmetic and medical purposes.
How does it work?
Neuromodulators work by blocking nerve signals that cause muscles to tighten. They prevent muscle movements in the targeted areas, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles and slimming the face as a result. Neuromodulators can be used in a variety of areas.
