What is it?Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a concentrated blood plasma containing 3 to 5 times the amount of platelets. It also contains bioactive proteins, mesenchymal stem cells and other benefits that help in hair growth and wound healing.
How does it work?
Platelets in your blood are the backbone to our body’s tissue rejuvenation and healing systems.
Injected into the scalp, PRP can increase circulation to the hair follicles, stimulate some new hair growth and slow down hair loss by lengthening the anagen growth phase of existing hair.
Studies suggest that PRP also stimulates the dormant hair follicles to grow which then increases hair volume.

Below is more information you need to know about this treatment.
First, we will do a blood draw and run it through a centrifuge to separate red blood cells from the plasma and concentrate the platelets.
The PRP will then be injected back into the desired treatment area via the Vital Injector. A topical anesthetic or oral pain relief may be given so that you can be comfortable. Most clients do find this treatment tolerable without any of the above.
You may need between 3 and 5 sessions that should be repeated every 1 to 2 months. Depending on the severity of hair loss, some patients may need maintenance every 6 months for up to one year. The visible results of new hair growth can usually be seen in the first 3 or 4 months, with further improvement seen in the coming months.
If you are a smoker or if you frequently use drugs or alcohol, PRP treatment may not be a suitable option. If you have been diagnosed with chronic liver disease, metabolic and systemic disorders, thrombocytopenia, hypofibrinogenemia, hemodynamic instability, or sepsis, you should speak with one of our doctors for further treatment.
